Umbilical Engineer - IKM Consultants AS

Umbilical Engineer
Responsibilities
* Be part of the Facilities team and support ongoing activities
* Work closely with the SURF Lead Engineer and assist/advise on technical and contractual issues towards the EPCI Contractor (main focus will be related to umbilical but other tasks and activities may also be relevant)
* The Umbilical engineer shall lead the EPCI Contractor follow-up of in the areas of umbilical design, fabrication and installation with support from QC, material experts and Installation Lead Engineer
* Ensure that the Umbilical is designed and fabricated in accordance with Contract requirements
* Review the umbilical technical documentation issued by EPCI Contractor, prepare and present comments and ensure that Contractor implement comments and any Company requirements
* Ensure good communication between Company and EPCI Contractor and with all interfacing parties during project execution within the umbilical discipline
* Monitor Contractor's umbilical performance and progress of the work towards milestones, and report any discrepancies and recommended actions to the SURF Lead Engineer, as needed
* Ensure that experiences from Contractor's previous projects and other relevant projects are implemented in the Fenja field development
Required expertise
* University degree at minimum Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant engineering subject
* SURF engineering background; preferably detailed umbilical design and installation experience
* Experience from subsea field development projects (with focus on project execution phase)
* 10-15 years relevant work experience
* Preferably experience as operator’s representative

Languages: Strong communication and presentation skills Norwegian and English
