Automation Engineer
Responsibilities
* Produce new documentation and drawings such as Cauce&Effect, System Control Diagrams (SCD) diagrams, loop drawings for process, Fire&Gas and safety systems; IS Loop Calculations
* Produce work packages for installation
* Produce documentation for Safety and Automation Systems (SAS) documents and drawings in the project
* Following suppliers from start-up to close out
* Review of supplier's documentation and approving
* Order all instrument materials needed for offshore installation
* Must be able to understand P&IDs and drawings from different disciplines
* Discussions with Client and vendor representatives in order to find optimal technical solutions
* Conduct As-built
Required expertise
* Masters or bachelor degree within relevant area
* Minimum 5 years, within offshore-related projects
* Knowledge of relevant standards such as NPD, ATEX, IEC61892 and Norsok
* Knowledge of modifications on offshore installations when in operatio*
* Experience in several process & utility systems, incl. Platform Control Systems, Fire&Gas and safety systems
* Knowledge of instrument and electrical equipment used in the oil industry
* Knowledge of the differences in using hydraulic, pneumatic or electrical solutions in safety systems
* Knowledge of clients systems such as Smartplant, Maintweb, Valid tag, PIMS, STID
* Knowledge of Automation system such as Siemens, ABB and Kongsberg
* Have good communication skills in English and Norwegian(preferable) both orally and in writing
* Have a cooperative working attitude
* Be systematic and accurate
* Have a high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements
* Have the ability to see multiple design - cases (solution oriented)
